Back in the ‘80’s, I was a teenager feeling like the only weirdo in the world with my weird-ass feelings, I could have used some books that helped me feel not so alone. My work deals with themes like coming of age and coming out, surviving by finding your voice and queer pride triumphing over biphobia.
I received an MFA in Poetry from Brooklyn College. My poems and short fiction have appeared in Literary Mama, Cooper Street, O-Dark-Thirty and Elixir Verse among others. I am currently at work on a YA novel-in-verse called Callie’s Boi.
I work as a tutor for Ignite Reading building foundational literacy skills for K-8 students. After growing up in Upstate New York and twenty years in New York City, I currently reside in Hamilton, NJ with my family. I enjoy yoga, reading, gardening and spending too much time on Reddit. Occasionally in my car, I still headbang along with bands like Judas Priest even when other drivers are watching.
